The content of adult education in Vietnamese refugee camps is examined as an indicator of the demands for cultural change which Americans make on contemporary immigrants. The limits of pluralism which the U.S. government promotes are also analyzed in this context. Finally, English language instruction in the camps is discussed. (Author/GC)
