O'Neill, Patrick; And Others – Journal of Personality Assessment, 1976
The Rorschach was given to 60 school children in two designs: chronological age (CA) and mental age (MA) orthogonal and CA=MA. Responses were scored for Form Accuracy, Complexity, Movement and Friedman's Developmental Level (DL) Scoring System. The results suggest that the DL system does assess MA independently of CA. Performance on the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children-Revised was compared for reflective and impulsive children, aged 8-11. Reflective children scored higher on the attention-concentration and visual organization subtests. There were no significant differences in verbal comprehension. (Author/GDC)

This study used 126 young adult black and white male inmates to test the comparability of the Pauker and Statz and Mogul short forms with the standard Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS). The Pauker form was superior with this population. Findings should not be generalized to other ages, races, or to women. (Author/CP)
