Townsend, Brenda L. – Preventing School Failure, 1994
A leadership and social skills program, with parent involvement and support, was implemented with 20 elementary-age children either at risk for academic and social problems or normally achieving and developing. Suggestions are offered for helping families participate in social skill instruction. (DB)

Morton, L. L.; And Others – Guidance & Counselling, 1993
Grade 12 students participated in a 1-semester cooperative education program and were monitored using the Personal Skills Map by Nelson & Law. Results indicate greater improvement in scores for the scales related to Interpersonal skills than for those in the areas of Career and Life-effectiveness skills. (LKS)
