Normative resource theory and relationships between marital decision-making and marital satisfaction were tested in a study of 1370 Austrian women. Data indicate social status differences, but not the spouses' relative social status influence the spouses' relative participation in marital decisions. (Author)

The relative power of cooperative and trusting patterns of behavior versus those of exploitation and distrust in affecting the results of group decision-making processes was investigated. Examines issues of rights and needs in interpersonal conflicts of couples of the same biological sex and sexual orientation.
