A study sought to determine if there was a difference in task analysis data collected by interviews and by mailed questionnaire. The business that was interviewed reported a significantly greater number of tasks as performed by beginning employees when compared to the mailed respondents. (LRA)

In a study which validated tasks performed by retail floral workers, data obtained using questionnaires and interview instruments were compared. The personal interview method proved to be more useful in identifying and classifying task information from the world of work. (SK)
