Attempts to provide school practitioners with a short list of very general characteristics, most of a non-technical nature, which should exist in any good evaluation study and to show how they might be applied by school personnel to judge an evaluation study being planned or conducted in their system. Teacher selection is one of the most important managerial decisions made by school administrators. A laboratory study was performed to assess the impact of interpersonal performance styles on decisions made by administrators in interview situations. Research methodology and results are discussed.
