Job Search Club Program. Program Notebook. Planning/Operations/Leader's Guide.
Boys' Clubs of America, New York, NY.
Guides are provided for planning, operating, and leading a Job Search Club Program. The planning guide for use by club directors, program committees, and club staff presents a cohesive, systematic plan for launching a successful job search program. It offers a step-by-step description of the essential elements of the planning process, an organizational framework within which to conduct a club, and an explanation of the requisite technical and human resources for implementation. Reproducible worksheets are appended. The operations guide provides a plan for implementing a club, which could be a group of Keystone members, a sports team, a teen group, a hobby club, or any other group of Boys Club members interested in developing skills for learning effective job hunting techniques. It explains the coordinator's responsibilities, necessary resources, and activities involved in conducting a job search. Reproducible worksheets are appended. The leader's guide contains a complete set of training materials. It includes recommended training techniques for the instructor and a series of structured lessons covering job hunting techniques and job performance skills. Each lesson includes a number of instructor resources: a lesson plan detailing goals, objectives, materials, time constraints, and recommended teaching methods; handouts and notes for participants; and technical background material for the group leader.
