Teenagers face the greatest risk of criminal victimization; yet they are ignored as a target group by current victim-assistance programs. Proposes the provision of such services to juvenile victims as a means of reinforcing conventional standards of behavior. (Author)

Achieving more humane and dignified treatment of rape victims in the arms of the law has been provided by "rape crisis centers."
