The Attorney: A Member of the School Management Team?
Shannon, Thomas A.
The author examines the factors of school administration today that have buoyed the rise of the importance of attorneys as members of the school district "management team"; and he discusses the legal and social environment in which a school administration must function. In addition, the author discusses the impact of such environmental forces as the increasing role of the courts in defining and protecting student rights; the expanded expectations of education; and the increased involvement of citizen groups in education.
