Following a preface which explains the survey design and presents summary statistics, this computer-generated directory lists 2,984 health science libraries in the United States. The entries are arranged alphabetically by state. Each citation provides name and address of the library; director's name; type of library; administrative control structure; numbers of volumes, serials, and staff; and occupations most representative of the library's main users. A name index is appended, as is a copy of the survey questionnaire used to gather this data. (SL)
