The Oklahoma County Libraries System in Oklahoma City converted its five bookmobiles from hardbound to paperbound materials in 1975. The conversion has been a notable success, proving popular with patrons and proving low cost and efficient for the library system. (Author)

Results of two surveys concerned with the provision of books to readers in an academic library are reported. Simple and inexpensive measurement techniques--diary and survey slips--were used to measure holdings, availability, and performance rates.
