Summary of the Cost and Funding Studies Being Conducted for the Development and Implementation of a Western Interstate Bibliographic Network.
Western Interstate Library Coordinating Organization, Boulder, CO.
The four primary goals of these cost and funding studies are described: (1) to determine representative costs of present library services without network support; (2) to estimate future costs of library services at various levels of proposed network support; (3) to evaluate and compare the impact of a network upon costs of library services; and (4) to examine and recommend equitable programs of financial support for an interstate bibliographic network in the West. Data collection procedures, activity sheets, and interlibrary loan transaction logs for both borrowers and lenders are explained. (Author/BBM)
