Licensing authorities in Sweden have approached the problem of unequal or inadequate education of immigrating foreign medical graduates by establishing a program which includes language and law courses and a clinical apprenticeship or a 3- to 5-month course preparatory to the standard graduate training of Swedish medical school graduates.
