Nicolich, Mark J.; Weinstein, Carol S. – Journal of Experimental Education, 1981
Results of three methods of analysis applied to simulated autocorrelated data sets with an intervention point (varying in autocorrelation degree, variance of error term, and magnitude of intervention effect) are compared and presented. The three methods are: t tests; maximum likelihood Box-Jenkins (ARIMA); and Bayesian Box Jenkins. (Author/AEF)

Van Mondfrans, Adrian P.; And Others – Journal of Experimental Education, 1973
Study is a further examination of the conditions under which retroactive inhibition occurs in prose. The two variables manipulated are the similarity of the interpolated stories (similar vs. dissimilar) and the response requirements (recall vs. recognition). (Author)

Vandever, Thomas R. – Journal of Experimental Education, 1973
Study involved the presentation of three lists of consistent words and three lists of inconsistent words to first graders. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of cues emphasized (visual, auditory, kinesthetic) and consistency (high, low) on the number of words learned. (Author)

Hopkins, Kenneth D. – Journal of Experimental Education, 1976
Illustrates how expected mean squares needed in the analysis of variance can be arrived at via the use of only one rule: the expected mean square E(MS) for any source of variation for any ANOVA model is specified effect plus the specified effect in combination with any random effect. (Editor/RK)
Descriptors: Analysis of Variance, Charts, Correlation, Methods

Rutherford, Robert Bruce, Jr. – Journal of Experimental Education, 1973
Purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of four levels of videotape training (the independent variable) on a specific class of teacher behaviors (the dependent variable). (Author)

Arney, William Ray – Journal of Experimental Education, 1973
The major thrust of this paper rests on the belief that information can be obtained from analysis of the relationship between unmeasured variables which would not otherwise be gleaned from the data. (Author)
