New Year's resolutions of middle-class sixth-graders were compared with those of Mennonite and Amish sixth-graders. Mennonite and Amish youngsters generally resolved to try harder, whereas middle-class youngsters resolved to do better. Certain sex differences were found in both cultures, but were more pronounced for Amish/Mennonite youth. (Author)

Data from six national surveys are combined and analyzed to determine how strongly occupational attainments affect the status perceptions of working wives. The results indicate that the effects are limited to women married to men with middle-class jobs. (Author)

A resurvey shows significant increases in sexual activity for 14- and 15-year-olds of both genders. Findings indicate that the new morality is not limited to sexuality, but extends to the broader context of youthful behavior. Heavy involvement in sexual activity was also related to other delinquent acts. (Author)
