Learning in the affective domain is an important aspect of the interpretive experience. A heuristic model was developed for use as a conceptual framework for describing the affective process in interpretation. This paper argues that the emotions have a central place in moral education. Two types of emotions involved in moral judgment are defined: constitutive and regulative.
