Presents needs assessment as a necessary part of program planning in student affairs. Questions (N=12) are suggested as a framework to guide needs assessment activities. When staff and students become responsible for assessing their own needs, the process becomes educational and goals are more likely to be met. (JAC)

The constraints-needs model used as a basis for evaluating the Santa Clara Pueblo Headstart Program served to protect both the client group and the evaluators from unrealistic expectations and provided a more useful outcome. Yarmohammadi, Lotfollah – International Review of Applied Linguistics in Language Teaching, 1980
The syntactic distribution and behavior of five English and Persian "measure" nouns and their adjectives are compared. From this, errors attributable to transference and those due to inconsistencies in English are enumerated. A unified analytic model of Persian errors in learning English suggests useful teaching strategies. (PMJ)

Report-writing and consultation competencies of new students were compared with graduate students in order to evaluate a school psychology competency-based training model. Results confirmed success of the training program, although no difference was found between the two groups. (RC)
