Rosen, Anne-Sofie – Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, 1977
Tested the California Psychological Inventory Socialization scale's dimensionality on three groups of male and female, criminal or noncriminal subjects. The fit of a one-factor model for all three groups was tested in a simultaneous factor analysis for several populations, and good fit was obtained. (Author)

Rudy, Thomas E.; And Others – Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, 1982
Subjects scaled 48 positive and 32 negative assertion vignettes according to similarity of difficulty to determine how people cognitively present complex social situations. Hoelter, Jon W. – Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, 1979
Presents a multidimensional conception of fear of death and provides subscales for measuring suggested dimensions (fear of the dying process, of the dead, of being destroyed, for significant others, of the unknown, of conscious death, for body after death, and of premature death). Wainer, Howard; And Others – Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, 1976
All pairs of Rorschach inkblots were scaled for perceived similarity by one normal and two psychopathological samples. The resulting data were analyzed using Carroll and Chang's INDSCAL model, which resulted in a good fit in two dimensions. These were interpreted as a dimension of color and one of form ("twoness"). Kenny, David A.; Zautra, Alex – Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, 1995
Describes a new approach for analyzing an individual's responses made at multiple times. Proposes that three sources of variance determine a person's current standing on a variable: trait (term does not change), state (term changes), and error (random term). Shows how structural equation modeling can be used and presents an extended example. (RJM)

Ball, Samuel A.; And Others – Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, 1995
Systematically assessed replicability and generalizability of a multidimensional alcoholism typological system in 399 inpatient, outpatient, and non-treatment-seeking cocaine abusers. Two different procedures supported the construct, concurrent, and predictive validity of the Type A-Type B distinction in cocaine abusers. Multidimensional…

Czogalik, Dietmar; Russell, Robert L. – Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, 1995
Assigned factor scores to therapist and client utterances. Constructed a 17 x 17 correlation matrix consisting of correlations across 4 lagged utterances. Principal-components analysis revealed 4 therapist-client interaction factors: mutual therapeutic engagement, mutual therapeutic negotiation, undirected client reminiscence, and sustained…

Stinson, Charles H.; And Others – Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, 1995
Examined discourse of bereaved individuals using computer-based text analyses. Compared discourse structure of low-distress bereaved individuals, high-distress bereaved subjects, and a single bereaved individual.
