McSweeney, Maryellen; Schmidt, William H. – Journal of Educational Statistics, 1977
The relationship between quantitative predictor variables and the probability of occurrence of one or more levels of a qualitative criterion variable can be analyzed by quantal response techniques. This paper presents and discusses two quantal response models, comparing them to multiple linear regression and discriminant analysis. (Author/JKS)

Bruno, James E.; Nelken, Ira – Educational Administration Quarterly, 1975
Examines the propensity of teachers to strike and, using a logit model, how this propensity can be affected by certain decision variables, notably a teacher's political leaning, sex, cynicism, moonlighting, colleague orientation, orientation to the public, age, teaching load, total family income, morale, and attitude toward peer evaluation.…

Bruno, James Edward; Nelkin, Ira – Educational Planning, 1975
The logit methodology provides a unique way of examining input-output relationships for social systems where the principal output of the analysis is a probability of some action or state. (Author)

Lunneborg, Clifford E. – 1971
A Bayesian prediction strategy is outlined in which antecedent measures are divided into two subgroups. One subgroup is used to discriminate among criterion groups, the second to provide normal linear predictions for each group. Individualized regression constants are subsequently obtained by computing probabilities of group membership from the…
