Song, Xin-Yuan; Lee, Sik-Yum; Hser, Yih-Ing – Structural Equation Modeling: A Multidisciplinary Journal, 2009
In longitudinal studies, investigators often measure multiple variables at multiple time points and are interested in investigating individual differences in patterns of change on those variables. Furthermore, in behavioral, social, psychological, and medical research, investigators often deal with latent variables that cannot be observed directly…

Lee, Sik-Yum – Psychometrika, 1978
Two generalizations of canonical correlational analysis are developed. The partial, part, and bipartial canonical correlation coefficients are shown to be special cases of the generalization. Illustrative examples are provided. (Author/JKS)

Song, Xin-Yuan; Lee, Sik-Yum – Multivariate Behavioral Research, 2002
Proposes a Bayesian analysis of the multivariate linear model with polytomous variables. Shows how a Gibbs sampler algorithm is implemented to produce the Bayesian estimates. Illustrates the proposed methodology through examples using multivariate linear regression and multivariate two-way analysis of variance with real data. (SLD)

Lee, Sik-Yum; And Others – Psychometrika, 1989
The frequencies of "m" independent "p-way" contingency tables are analyzed by a model that assumes that the ordinal category data in each of "m" groups are generated from a latent continuous multivariate normal distribution. The model permits analysis of several groups of individuals simultaneously. (TJH)

Poon, Wai-Yin; Lee, Sik-Yum – Psychometrika, 1987
Reparameterization is used to find the maximum likelihood estimates of parameters in a multivariate model having some component variable observable only in polychotomous form. Maximum likelihood estimates are found by a Fletcher Powell algorithm. In addition, the partition maximum likelihood method is proposed and illustrated. (Author/GDC)

Lee, Sik-Yum; Tsui, Kwok-Leung – Psychometrika, 1982
The work of Joreskog and Sorbom in comparing factor structures of several populations is extended to a more general analysis of covariance structures. Also, more complex constraints on parameters are allowed in this work. (JKS)

Lee, Sik-Yum; And Others – Psychometrika, 1992
A two-stage approach based on the rationale of maximum likelihood and generalized least-squares methods is developed to analyze the general structural equation model for continuous and polytomous variables. Some illustrative examples and a small simulation study (50 replications) are reported. (SLD)
