A study of two groups of nonprofessional staff (rehabilitation nonprofessional and hospital nonprofessional) at Taunton State Hospital, Taunton, Massachusetts indicated significant differences between the groups on several variables. Rehabilitation nonprofessionals were found to be more empathic, more controlling and generally more flexible. (EA)
