Education for parenthood has long been a neglected area of school curricula despite a professed belief in such education. This paper suggests the current level of priority for education for parenthood and the reasons for this level of priority. (CB)

The study focused on the factors affecting implementation of Georgia's parenting education program at selected sites over a three-year period. Qualitative methods were used to trace activities and procedures in the implementation process. The study resulted in the identification of eight factors that affected implementation. (Author/CH)
