Level of moral maturity was assessed in a group of children three to six years old, using stories or films to elicit judgments about relative goodness or badness. At all age levels, training had a significant effect in changing the moral orientation of the children. (Author/KM)

Model outlines three dimensions of maturity likely to be relevant in all societies: (1) Capacity to function on one's own, (2) Capacity to interact with others, (3) Capacity to contribute to social cohesion. An Analysis of responses to the Spence-Helmreich Attitudes Toward Women Scale by the Loevinger-Wessler Stages of ego development is presented in this article.
