The difficulty of evaluating published articles in journals outside a discipline by promotion review committees is discussed. A study is described that identified journals in the pharmacy disciplines and had senior faculty members in all the pharmacy disciplines rank order the journals. (Author/MLW)

Cash budgeting concepts employed in businesses are discussed, the results of a survey of pharmacy school continuing education directors regarding their budgeting procedures are described, and suggestions on how a pharmacy school's continuing education program could be budgeted are offered. The dominate issue in pharmacy education has been which degree, BS or PharmD, should be entry-level degree for pharmacy. Data show that the number of BS degrees conferred has been decreasing while the number of PharmD degrees has been increasing. (Author/MLW)

A survey regarding class-related problems and their resolution found that the most common problems concerned faculty-student interactions. The most important technique of discovering them was individual discussion; techniques for resolution included administrator-student bag lunches and administration representatives on faculty committees.
