A factor analysis, using the varimax rotated procedure, was conducted on Bem Sex-Role Inventory (BSRI) data from a random sampling of the national physical education organizations mailing list of physical education teachers. Results are reported from a study which sought to examine (1) potential gender bias between male and female physical education teachers (N=6) and school level, (2) the extent to which a teacher might be gender typed, and (3) the extent to which students (N=164) perceived differences in teacher treatment.
