Discusses the use of numerical grades or a pass-fail system at the first-professional degree level in a health professions college, this paper provides the results and analysis of a student survey. Some 73 percent of student respondents felt that academic achievement was not affected by pass-fail. (LBH)

This article examines the relationship between grading systems and performance on national board examinations. The study demonstrates that board scores verify traditional grading as an indicator of student performance despite many variables; students who do well with traditional grades should do as well with national boards.
