The Jungian conceptual framework, reflected in the Myers-briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), provides a systhesizing, explanatory, and predictive scheme for common traits of the police personality. The MBTI may be a useful tool in training, counseling, and organizational change, but is limited as an exclusive instrument for selection. (Author)
