The Rokeach free-equality model of political idealogies was explored within the context of the 1968 American presidential campaign. The data were interpreted as indicating that the basic value dimension in American political life is an equalitarian one, with variations ranging from democratic socialist to capitalist. (Author/JB)

This study of Israeli youths' attitudes toward the Arab-Israeli conflict found that youthful opinions stemmed not from a single, coherent attitude but instead were affected by specific issues. Religiosity was the clearest determining influence. The impact of the Holocaust and Zionism were too complex to be described by the methods used. (Author/AM)
