McGovern, Patrick; Yacobucci, Peter
Journal of Political Science Education, v17 suppl 1 p938-954 2021
What is a good working definition of "Postmodernity" for the undergraduate in Political Science? "Postmodernism?" What are the differences? This article provides a number of definitions designed to help faculty and undergraduates understand the terms "Postmodernity" and "Postmodernism." The purpose of the article is to explore the usefulness of engaging the idea of "Postmodernity" to explain the present state of our politics and examine the rise of the Trump presidency as symptomatic, rather than the origin, of our current political condition.
