The Student Health Service at SUNY/Stonybrook overcame underfunding difficulties by cooperative programs with the school of medicine (staff and materials), student participation (technical, clerical, and administrative) and campus health consumer groups (counseling, ambulance club, health store), at no cost, or low cost, to the university.
