Purposes and program of the Radcliffe Institute are described from its creation in 1960 as "one effort to change the social climate for women" by offering part-time fellowships so that talented women might again become "visible professionally" to its present increasingly professional orientation. The Master of Human Services (MHS) offered by the College for Human Services, is intended to be the equivalent of any master's degree in social work. Students are provided with jobs in the field and are taught professional expertise over a varied 2-year (8 semester) period. (Author/PG)
