Describes co-operative programs which provide baccalaureate degrees to electrical, mechanical, and civil engineering technology students who have just completed a two-year associate degree program. The co-operative programs are two or three years in length, with alternating quarters of coursework and job assignments. (MLH)

Describes current cooperative programs in chemistry, which have been lagging the development of programs in other disciplines. As of 1971, of the 68,000 students in cooperative education programs, only 428 were in chemistry; but the benefits of such a program are expected to increase the number of chemistry cooperative programs.
