Describes an approach to leadership development which is particularly supportive of the needs of adolescents and reflective of a democratic style of leadership. Although it is difficult to categorically recommend the use of relaxation with children, preliminary investigations support its viability. Due to the widespread effects of tension, relaxation may be prescribed for children with many types of learning and emotional needs.
