Arizona Migrant Child Education Teacher Exchange: Colorado.
Maynes, J. O., Jr.; Brink, Donald
The Office of Migrant Child Education of the Arizona Department of Education participated in the annual Teacher Exchange Program by visiting Colorado, April 14-18, 1980. Sixteen teachers and/or program coordinators (selected by the project administrator) prepresented 13 Arizona Migrant Child Education Projects and traveled to Colorado under the direction of a program consultant from the Arizona Department of Education. Visits were made to 12 schools, a resource and terminal center, 4 BOCES regional headquarters, and the Department of Education in Denver. The intent of the exchange program has been to provide an opportunity for state educational agencies to exchange training techniques, materials, and procedures through practical application and on-site observation; and to provide training for the development of resource personnel to assist the state agencies in future development of inter- and intrastate programs as funding becomes available. On-site observation reports (required of the participants) reinforce the value of interstate agreements regarding curriculum dissemination and exchange of teaching ideas and methods. (MJO)
