The 2-hour training package is designed to help parents of handicapped children become productive participants at the individualized education program (IEP) conference. The kit contains checklists and other resource materials for appraising the IEP as it is developed. Directions and reproducible materials for workshop participants are included in a guide. A sample invitation to families, suggestions for fact sheets and resource lists, and evaluation forms are also given. A filmstrip introducing basic information about IEPs is part of the package. (SBH)
