Induction Programs: Meeting the Needs of Beginning Administrators.
Daresh, John C.; Playko, Marsha A.
NASSP Bulletin, v76 n546 p81-83 Oct 1992
Induction programs should be designed to reflect school administrators' unique learning needs. Effective induction programs have three critical components: preprogram planning, mentoring, and program evaluation. Planning involves establishing a school board policy, conducting a preliminary needs assessment, specifying goals, identifying needed resources, designing the program, developing a program budget, and implementing the program.
