Bhat, U. Narayan; Nance, Richard E. – 1973
The effects of dynamic quantum allocation and swap-time variability on central processing unit (CPU) behavior are investigated using a model that allows both quantum length and swap-time to be state-dependent random variables. Effective CPU utilization is defined to be the proportion of a CPU busy period that is devoted to program processing, i.e.…

Bentler, Peter M.; Woodward, J. Arthur – Evaluation Quarterly, 1978
The Head Start data analyzed by Magidson (1977) were reanalyzed using Joreskog's (1976) LISREL computer program methodology. The hypothesis that the Head Start program produced zero effects on the cognitive abilities of its participants was evaluated by several Chi Square tests. In all cases, the null hypothesis could not be rejected. (Author/CTM)

Magidson, Jay – Evaluation Quarterly, 1978
In a reply to the previous article (TM 503 435), Magidson disparages the arbitrary application of the .05 significance level to these data, responds to several assertions, and provides additional data in support of his original article showing positive effects for Project Head Start. (CTM)

Bekker, Gerald; Christiansen, James E. – 1975
An evaluation model was developed to measure the effectiveness of pilot programs in vocational education for handicapped persons in selected State schools and State hospitals in Texas. The model was field-tested by conducting evaluations of 16 pilot programs in vocational education for the handicapped located in seven State schools/hospitals. Data…

Branch, Robert L. – 1972
A computerized model was developed to evaluate local vocational education programs in relation to the various functions of vocational education. A data base was generated using the local school districts' information and the output was designed for local self-evaluation use in further planning and review of the overall vocational education plan.…

Jelden, David L. – 1980
A study was conducted from March 1976 through June 1980 on the application and feasibility of a computer micro-system as an interactive tutorial instructional tool in a self-contained classroom. Literature on computer assisted instruction (CAI), hardware, and software was examined. Individualized CAI materials for industrial arts and technology…
