Psychology course offerings of 44 counseling graduate programs were surveyed as well as the preferences of students and faculty for a wide range of psychology course work. The ratings obtained raise questions about the need for transformation of curricula to meet contemporary psychological service needs. (Author)

Moderately retarded institutionalized residents received 10 weeks of structured group counseling focused on five areas of social and personal adjustment. Results showed that in each of the above variables, the experimental group showed a greater mean score than that of the control group. (Author)

The studies sought to determine if changes that would influence women's life styles could occur by providing a supportive learning environment, rather than through traditional individual or group counseling.
