The success of a program to stimulate bequeathals of bodies for use in teaching anatomy is analyzed: Type of publicity and manner in which the bodies are cared for stimulate most doners, the majority of which are well educated Jews of European background, a high percentage professionals. (JT)

Although individual electives were assessed, the evaluation program allows generalizations across electives by identifying strengths and weaknesses commonly found in the electives that were evaluated. A logbook system for recording students' patient-care activities during a clerkship is described. It was designed at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine to provide data for assessing students and for evaluation of the clerkship itself. Student logbooks are collected at the midpoint and end of the clerkship. (MLW)

The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Texas Medical Branch developed a method of presenting the didactic information in pediatrics in a series of instructional modules. Student acceptance of the modules has been very high. (LBH)

The psychiatry clerkship at the University of British Columbia emphasizes the teaching model of the student as primary therapist. Principal findings are presented in this report which attempts to evaluate some aspects of this innovative approach to teaching clinical psychiatry. (Author/PG)
