To assess the impact of special training institutes and internships for women in higher education administration, authors surveyed the participants of six programs in operation between 1973 and 1977. Participants were asked to evaluate program content, to assess the usefulness of training in their current positions, and describe other effects.…

Three groups of women with sexual dysfunction were evaluated pretreatment and posttreatment. Two groups did not involve partner participation, while the third group included partners on two occasions. Results for all groups were similar. The studies sought to determine if changes that would influence women's life styles could occur by providing a supportive learning environment, rather than through traditional individual or group counseling. Seriously ill female psychiatric patients (N=59) were randomly assigned to an inpatient or day service. Data indicate the day treatment is, on the whole, superior to inpatient treatment in subjective distress, community functioning, family burden, total hospital cost, and days of attachment to the hospital program.
