In 2012, more than five percent of all postsecondary students were veterans or currently serving in the military, and 43% attended a public 2-year institution (Ahern, Foster, & Head, 2012). The Collegiate Veteran Affairs Program, at a public 2-year college in the southeastern part of the United States, serves as the point of contact for services available to enrolled student veterans. The office was developed to assist veterans' transition to college in an accessible, supportive, and welcoming environment. The program's mission is to make financial, educational, and community resources readily available through a wide range of support and advocacy. The Veteran Affairs Program has four main objectives in the following categories: (a) retention, progression, and graduation (RPG) of the student veteran; (b) financial support and community resource access; (c) academic support; and (d) emotional support and professional development. The purpose of the program evaluation was to examine a Veteran Affairs Program to determine the program's efficacy related to improving matriculation and providing services that student veterans perceive as helpful. The target group identified for this program were 21 student veterans enrolled in the college during the 2012-2018 academic year. Findings of this study indicated that matriculation was positively impacted by (1) participation in a Veteran Affairs Program, (2) utilization of scholarship resources, and (3) use of the Veteran Resource Center on campus.
