Child Anxiety: A Program for Primary School Professionals

This dissertation project highlights the rising rates of and effects of child anxiety. This was done through a literature review of relevant topics. Child anxiety treatment is explored and best practices highlighted. By using a top-to-bottom approach to the literature, a program/resource was developed that is intended for use by school administrators, teachers, and school nurses to address the lack of access to mental health care for child anxiety. A presentation accompanies the program as a guide for the providers. A discussion suggests strengths and limitations of the resource developed and further research implications are provided.
