Baker, Margaret – Perceptual and Motor Skills, 1978
Twenty-six elementary teachers and 51 fourth grade students were administered the Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking and the Rorschach Inkblot Test. (Author/CL)

Gordon, Michael; Oshman, Harvey – Perceptual and Motor Skills, 1981
The Rorschach protocols of 20 boys (ages 6-11 years) rated by their teachers as hyperactive and those of 20 nonhyperactive boys were compared along 16 indices. Findings are discussed in terms of the assessment of hyperactivity within a conceptual framework which regards impulsivity as a major underlying dimension. (Author/SJL)

Veiel, H.; Coles, E. M. – Perceptual and Motor Skills, 1982
Definitions of projective tests are critiqued. A distinction is made between projective tests and projective techniques. The unique feature of the latter is its scoring process: response categories are intensionally defined and comprise infinite sets of responses. A continuity from psychometric to projective tests is argued. Statistical…

McGiboney, Garry Wade; Huey, Wayne Cowan – Perceptual and Motor Skills, 1982
The Hand Test was administered to 51 Black adolescent males who had been referred for chronic disruptiveness in the classroom. Interscorer reliability was .88. The Acting-out Ratio exceeded norms. The Interpersonal-Environmental Response Ratio was significantly imbalanced toward Interpersonal. This ratio may be a useful predictor of overt…

McGiboney, Garry Wade; Carter, Clifford – Perceptual and Motor Skills, 1982
The Hand Test was administered to 30 male and 10 female eighth- to tenth-grade students transferred to an alternative school for acting-out behavior. When retested 21 days later, responses were significantly consistent supporting the reliability of the Hand Test variables related to acting-out behavioral tendencies. (Author/CM)

Daubney, John H.; Wagner, Edwin E. – Perceptual and Motor Skills, 1980
Two successive classes of accelerated medical students were administered a variety of tests to find predictors of medical school grades. Through a combination of the Hand Test and Rorschach, a single index of maladjustment, Daubney Index, was derived. This correlated -.55 with medical school grades for 23 students. (Author/SJL)
