A cooperative student-intern program has been implemented by North Carolina State University in cooperation with the Wake County school system. Functions of the interdisciplinary team members, as well as strengths and weaknesses of the approach, are presented here. (BP)

The results of a study conducted in Indiana of attitudes of counselor educators and guidance directors lends support to use of "counselor aides" in secondary school guidance services. While some school systems employ persons in a paraprofessional role, there appears to be little standardization in terms of their selection, training or use. (Author)

Presents the results of a study of North Carolina school counselors within their first five years of the profession. Professional difficulty was defined as a discrepancy between function and competence. From the study, a profile of elementary, junior high, and high school counselors can be determined. (Author)
