The introduction of school-based evaluation as part of a national educational evaluation scheme in Norway was studied through observation, field notes, interviews, and questionnaires in a lower secondary school with a staff of around 50. Problems affecting the operation of the Nigerian Skills Acquisition Programme, a secondary school vocational program, were studied through the questionnaire responses of 105 trainees, 50 parents, and 10 administrators.
