Multiple discriminant analysis of Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI) scores between high-IQ White, high-IQ Black, low-IQ White, and low-IQ Black subjects yielded two significant canonical variates. Results suggest that racial differences on the MMPI do not occur in all racial comparisons but are restricted to low-IQ groups. (Author)

Administered the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory and the Problem Solving Inventory to 20 Black and 32 White inmates. Recidivists scored significantly higher on the impulsive scale of the Problem Solving Inventory. Demonstrated the utility of the MMPI and the PSI in discriminating between nonviolent and violent criminals. (Author/JAC)

Ethnic differences on the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory-2 (MMPI-2) were studied in the restandardization sample of 75 African American and 725 white men and 65 African American and 743 white women.
