Analysis of the answers to a questionnaire based on Allport's three conditions for positive cross-race contact (equal status, cooperative interaction, and supportive authority figures). Shows that, for White students, frequency of cross-race contact while in high school is a predictor of frequent cross-race contact at the university level. (KH)

Having students photograph their schools reveals unconscious perceptions held by individuals about their environment. In this study, significant differences existed between Black and White students. While the schools had been desegregated, photographs showed they were not yet integrated. (LHW)

The perceptions of Black and of White students toward each other in team-organized and traditionally organized schools were compared. Although Whites appear to have more negative perceptions of Blacks than Blacks of Whites, closer contacts of Whites with Blacks in the team-organized schools improve perceptions. (CJ)
