Distinctiveness of Encoding: The Effects of Paraphrasing and Drawing Inferences on Memory from Prose.
Glover, John A.; And Others
Journal of Educational Psychology, v73 n5 p736-44 Oct 1981

The results seem to indicate that what readers remember from reading passages is determined by the activities they engage in during reading. (Author/BW)
