Desha Green
ProQuest LLC, Ed.D. Dissertation, Texas Wesleyan University
This qualitative case study was conducted to determine the effectiveness of reading literacy teachers based on teacher perceptions. Reading is the core to education because it is connected to every subject; if students are struggling in reading, it is likely, they will struggle in other subjects. In this study, the researcher examined reading literacy instruction from the perspectives of reading literacy teachers with proven growth in student achievement to extend earlier research through implications for future practice.
