Bolton, Brian – Rehabilitation Counseling Bulletin, 1978
A group of 31 clients completed the Human Service Scale and were evaluated by their counselors, who used the Client Outcome Measure at the time of the clients' acceptance for rehabilitation services and again at closure. Results were generally consistent with those of previous investigations. (Author)

Counseling response preferences of graduate students completing internship requirements were assessed. It was hypothesized that at the end of the internship the students would show a significant increase in preference for active counseling responses. Five counseling responses were evaluated, and change did occur as hypothesized. (Author)

Examined the most effective usage of videotape in job interview skill training for 24 mentally retarded young adults utilizing the microcounseling model of instruction. Data revealed the microcounseling model is most effective with the two skill areas of eye contact and body posture regardless of the method of videotape utilization. (Author)

An experimental program for rehabilitating people convicted of driving while intoxicated was studied to determine how personally responsible behavior could be encouraged. The authors attribute the program's success to the egalitarian atmosphere in which staff members dealt with clients. (Author)

Self-control techniques were taught to an obese 27-year-old black male to help modify overeating behavior. Self-reinforcement was utilized in addition to systematic isolation of chained eating behavior from associated stimulus situations.
